Saturday November 8 – 11:30-4pm (or later!) Avalon, CA

$250 per person

Join Oriana Poindexter and Grace Peterson for an afternoon of celebrating the kelp forest of Catalina in the water and on land! You’ll begin your day in the water exploring the golden forest and end the day as a personal guest at the opening reception for Oriana’s solo art exhibition, The Blue Forest at the Catalina Museum for Art and History.

Let your experience begin with a snorkel/freedive with master freediving instructor and somatic practitioner of Saltwater Bodywork, Grace Peterson. You will meet at Casino Point Dive Park for a safety brief and guidance of the local dive site. While this is not a freediving course, Grace will be available to help you with questions and troubleshooting. From 1:30-3pm you will have time to change and grab a snack before we head to the Catalina Museum for Art and History for marine scientist and photographer, Oriana Poindexter’s solo art exhibit, The Blue Forest. As a personal guest, you will receive an exclusive artist walkthrough of the exhibit only available to registered attendees!

Head out to catch your ferry home, or stay until the reception ends at 6pm.
